Bhandari also said that the event will also disseminate information about women entrepreneurship in Nepal as well as products and services being offered by women entrepreneurs.
According to the organizers, handicraft products like candle, soap, carpet, clay craft and garments, and agri-business products like honey, pickle, dairy products, spices, tea, coffee, juice, natural fiver, cotton and cardamom, among others will be showcased at the event.
“We believe that the event will provide a common to women entrepreneurs where they can showcase their strength and success stories before potential buyers,” added Bhandari.
Along with products display, the expo will have several side events like live demonstration of stone carving and natural fiber weaving as well as food festival, and nail art and face paint stalls among other fun-filled events.
The event will have a total of 75 stalls, including 10 stalls of women entrepreneurs from SAARC region and the Philippines. The event is expected to attract 100,000 visitors and record transactions worth Rs 50 million.
Meanwhile, FWEAN is also launching its new website at the event. According to FWEAN officials, the website will disseminate information related to Nepali women entrepreneurs as well as their products and services.
